DIG Fayoade gave the assurance on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to the Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege.

The Police chief commended the Soun for his contributions towards maintaining peace and stability in Ogbomoso and the surrounding communities, particularly following the recent abduction incident involving teachers and pupils in Oriire Local Government.

He said the efforts of the traditional institution had helped the community manage the situation while security agencies intensified operations to secure the release of the victims.

“I thank you very much for the effort you have made in securing the state and ensuring peace, especially in view of the incident in Oriire Local Government. The role you have played has helped the community cope with the situation while we continue our efforts to ensure that the children and their teachers are brought home safely.

“The Police and other security agencies in the country are working very hard to ensure that our teachers and children return home safely. I strongly believe that very soon they will be reunited with their families. We are working assiduously, including under the leadership of the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Nigerian Armed Forces, Senator Bola Tinubu, to ensure their freedom,” he stated.
