Asipa of Ogbomosoland Mourns Aare Musulumi, Alhaji Owodunni, Extols His Legacy of Service and Humanity

The Asipa of Ogbomosoland, High Chief Barrister Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle, OON, KJW, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the Aare Musulumi of Ogbomosoland, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Atanda Owodunni, describing his death as a great loss to Ogbomoso, the Muslim community, and humanity at large.

High Chief Adekunle, in his condolence message, described the late Aare Musulumi as a devoted Muslim, an exceptional philanthropist, an advocate of peace and unity, an elder statesman, and a dependable pillar of support whose contributions to the growth and development of Ogbomosoland would remain indelible.

The Asipa noted that Alhaji Owodunni’s demise has created a vacuum that would be difficult to fill, considering his remarkable commitment, compassion for the less privileged, and his unwavering dedication to the political, social, economic, and religious advancement of Ogbomosoland.

According to him, the late Aare Musulumi lived a life dedicated to the service of Almighty Allah and humanity, contributing immensely to the promotion of Islam, peaceful coexistence, and the collective progress of the people.

He added that Alhaji Owodunni was a man of wisdom and integrity whose fatherly guidance, humility, and passion for community development earned him the admiration and respect of people across different walks of life.

The Asipa of Ogbomosoland also conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the Soun of Ogbomosoland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye Orumogege 111, over the passing of one of his devoted, loyal, and pious Islamic subjects, Alhaji Abdul Ganiyu Atanda Owodunni.

He stated that the late Aare Musulumi would be remembered for his loyalty to the traditional institution, his commitment to the welfare of the people, and his efforts towards strengthening unity among the people of Ogbomosoland.

“On behalf of my family and the good people of Ogbomosoland, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the Muslim Ummah, the Soun of Ogbomosoland, and the entire people of Ogbomoso. We pray that Almighty Allah grants everyone affected by this irreparable loss the strength and fortitude to bear it,” High Chief Adekunle said.

The Asipa further prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, accepts his good deeds, expands and illuminates his grave, and grants him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
