As the holy month of Ramadan begins, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed (FNSE, FIMC, FIPMD), has extended warm greetings and best wishes to all Muslim staff, students, and the wider polytechnic community.
In his Ramadan message, Dr. Abdul-Hameed emphasized the significance of the sacred month as a period of reflection, compassion, and spiritual growth. He urged Muslims within and beyond the institution to uphold the values of patience, humility, and self-discipline that define Ramadan.
“Ramadan is not only a period of fasting but also a time to deepen our faith and unity,” the Rector stated. “I encourage all our Muslim students and staff to remain steadfast in their prayers and good deeds throughout this holy month. Let us use this time to strengthen our bonds as a community and support one another in our spiritual journeys.”
Highlighting the importance of empathy and charity, Dr. Abdul-Hameed called on the Polytechnic community to extend acts of kindness to those in need. “As we reflect on our blessings, let us not forget the less fortunate in our society. This is a time to give back and make a positive impact on our community,” he added.
The Rector reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a harmonious and inclusive environment at Federal Polytechnic Ayede, aligning with the institution’s core values of diversity and collective well-being.
As Ramadan unfolds, Dr. Abdul-Hameed wished all Muslims a blessed month filled with peace, happiness, and spiritual fulfillment, encouraging them to embody the principles of kindness and understanding in their daily lives.
