The Ikoyi-Ile Youth Progressive and Development Union of Nigeria (IYPADUN) has reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to supporting security agencies in the ongoing rescue operations for the abducted schoolgirls and school principal kidnapped during the recent bandit attack on Yawota and Esinele villages in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

In a renewed demonstration of solidarity and concern for the safety of residents, the group disclosed that it has expanded its logistics support to security operatives by providing additional fuel assistance and operational support to the Oyo State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, local vigilantes, and other security agencies involved in the search-and-rescue mission.

According to the union, the intervention became necessary to strengthen the ongoing operations aimed at ensuring the safe release of the abducted victims from the custody of the bandits.

IYPADUN stated that the support would continue until all the abducted schoolgirls and the principal regain their freedom, stressing that the security and welfare of the people of Ikoyi-Ile and the entire Oriire Local Government remain a collective responsibility.

The union further declared its readiness, alongside the people of Ikoyi-Ile, to intensify community-based security efforts and collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure adequate protection of lives and property across every nook and cranny of Oriire Local Government Area.

IYPADUN commended the courage, resilience, and professionalism being displayed by Amotekun operatives, local vigilantes, conventional security agencies, and other stakeholders participating in the operations.

The union also expressed optimism that the abducted victims would soon be rescued unharmed and reunited with their families, while calling on residents to remain calm, vigilant, and prayerful during the difficult period.

Reiterating its stance against insecurity, the group assured residents that it would not relent in mobilising resources and support mechanisms aimed at restoring peace, strengthening local security architecture, and safeguarding communities across Oriire Local Government.
