The Honourable member of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Prince Akeem Adeniyi Adeyemi, on Saturday, July 25, 2026, attended a series of social, cultural, traditional and political engagements across Oyo and Ibadan.
Adeyemi, who represented the Distinguished Senator Yunus Akintunde at the traditional wedding ceremony of Isabel and Adebayo, held at NPG Garden, Akala Way, Akobo, Ibadan, prayed for a blissful and prosperous marital life for the newlyweds.
He was accompanied to the ceremony by Team U & US, led by Mr Biodun Adeyemo.
The federal lawmaker thereafter attended the Cultural Fiesta organised by the Nigerian Universities Education Students’ Association (NUESA), University of Ibadan–Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo Chapter.
The event, held at the SPED Pavilion of the Federal College of Education (Special), Oyo, had the theme, “Celebrating Unity in Diversity.” Adeyemi attended as the Guest of Honour, accompanied by his sister, Princess Folasade Arewa Adeyemi, and Mr Biodun Adeyemo, popularly known as Biddy.
The cultural fiesta provided an avenue for participants to celebrate their roots, heritage and cultural values while promoting unity, peaceful coexistence and togetherness.
Adeyemi and his entourage later joined family members, friends and well-wishers at the 70th birthday celebration of Pa Akinade Abdulai Siyanbola, held at Starlight Events Hall, Mabolaje, Oyo.
The former lawmaker attended the birthday celebration at the invitation of Omo Iya Kunmi, son of the celebrant, and prayed for Pa Siyanbola to enjoy many more years in good health, peace and happiness.
The day’s engagements also included the installation ceremony of Chief Salawu Ishola Lawal as the Baale of Obasere, Oyo, held at ADS Primary School, Oyo.
The ceremony was hosted by the newly installed traditional ruler’s son, Alhaji Asimiyu Lawal. Adeyemi congratulated the new Baale and prayed for a peaceful, prosperous and enduring reign.
Adeyemi also paid a brief visit to the residence of Ambassador Adeleke, the State Chief of Protocol (SCOP) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, at Oyo London Housing Estate, Oyo, where the ambassador hosted members of the APC State Executive Committee.
The prominent federal lawmaker rounded off his engagements at Oba Adeyemi Arcade Stadium, Ode Aremo, Oyo, where the Holy Unity Canvassers for Hon. Skimeh, led by Olori Bety Bee Adeyemi, held a strategic grassroots mobilisation meeting.
The meeting focused on strengthening grassroots support, addressing emerging challenges and fostering unity among party stakeholders and supporters ahead of the forthcoming elections.
The mobilisation drive, according to Adeyemi, is aimed at building a formidable political structure capable of securing victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) in his bid for a second term, Senator Sarafa Alli for Governor, Senator Yunus Akintunde, popularly referred to as “Yunus Again,” and other candidates seeking elective positions in the state.
Adeyemi expressed optimism that the mobilisation efforts would bring stakeholders and supporters together towards achieving a resounding victory at the polls.
He said the series of engagements underscored the importance of community participation, cultural preservation, traditional institution, political mobilisation and collective responsibility in advancing the interests of the people.
