Salau, in a congratulatory message made available to journalists, described the monarch as “a good thing that has happened to Ogbomosoland,” stressing that his emergence on the throne had ushered in a new phase of development, unity, peace and greater visibility for the ancient town.

The APM chieftain praised Oba Olaoye for what he described as his exceptional leadership qualities, strategic connections, influence and pragmatic approach to issues concerning the growth and development of Ogbomoso.
According to him, the Soun has demonstrated remarkable assertiveness, accommodation, wisdom and intellectual capacity in the discharge of his traditional responsibilities, adding that the monarch has continued to deploy his influence and network towards attracting meaningful development to Ogbomosoland.
Salau noted that, despite the relatively short period of Oba Olaoye’s reign, the monarch had already made significant contributions to the development and promotion of Ogbomoso through the facilitation of various projects and initiatives across different parts of the town.
He said the impact of the monarch’s leadership could be felt in different areas of Ogbomosoland, describing the Soun as a cerebral and visionary traditional ruler whose reign had continued to attract attention and developmental opportunities to the community.
“His Imperial Majesty is a highly influential, pragmatic, assertive and accommodating monarch who has demonstrated a strong commitment to the progress and development of Ogbomoso. His reign has brought Ogbomoso into greater prominence and has facilitated developmental initiatives in different parts of the kingdom,” Salau said.
He further commended the Soun for promoting peace, unity, stability and peaceful coexistence among the people of Ogbomosoland, noting that these qualities were essential to sustainable development and harmonious relations within the community.
Salau said Ogbomoso was fortunate to have a monarch whose vision extended beyond the traditional institution to encompass the overall advancement and prosperity of his people.
He expressed confidence that the Soun would continue to provide purposeful leadership and use his influence to attract more development to the kingdom.
The APM Deputy Governorship Candidate prayed to God to grant Oba Olaoye many more years in good health and sound mind, while increasing him in wisdom, knowledge and understanding to enable him to continue steering the affairs of Ogbomosoland effectively.
He also prayed for long life and prosperity for the monarch, expressing hope that Oba Olaoye’s reign would ultimately take Ogbomosoland to greater heights and position the ancient city among the most developed and respected communities in Nigeria.
Salau concluded by wishing the Soun a joyous 65th birthday celebration and many more years of impactful service to Ogbomosoland and humanity.
