Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, has nominated the Permanent Secretary, General Administration, Dr. Olabode Taiwo Ladipo, for appointment as a commissioner in the state executive council.
The nomination has been forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation in accordance with constitutional provisions.
Governor Makinde also approved the appointment of Arc. Ifeoluwa Akande as Chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee, Hon. Isola Abiodun Adekunle as Executive Adviser on Intra-Party Affairs, and Hon. Oladejo Emmanuel Oladokun as a Part-Time Member of the Local Government Service Commission.
The appointments were conveyed in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, on Tuesday.
According to the letter, all the appointments will take effect from July 1, 2026.
The governor congratulated the appointees and charged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by discharging their duties with dedication, loyalty, and an unwavering commitment to the service and development of Oyo State.
Dr. Ladipo, the commissioner-designate, currently serves as the Permanent Secretary, General Administration. He is expected to appear before the Oyo State House of Assembly for the mandatory screening and confirmation process before assuming office as a member of the State Executive Council.
The latest appointments are part of the Makinde administration’s efforts to strengthen governance structures and enhance service delivery across key sectors in the state.
