The sympathy meeting, which held at the Asipa’s residence yesterday in the Olukoko area of Ogbomoso, brought together representatives of three of the most affected families, namely the Oyedemi, Adesiyan and Akanni families. Those in attendance included Mrs. Toyin Akanni, Mrs. Victoria Moradeyo Adesiyan and Mrs. Mary Oyedokun.

The revered traditional leader noted that the pain and sorrow being experienced by the affected families were not theirs alone but a collective burden shared by the entire Ogbomoso people.

He said the unfortunate development had left the entire city in mourning, stressing that every well-meaning indigene and resident of Ogbomosoland identified with the suffering and agony of the victims’ families.

In an emotion-filled address, the Asipa lamented the untimely death of Mr. Michael Oyedokun and other victims whose families were represented at the gathering.
