Supporters and loyalists of Hon. Segun Ogunwuyi, who recently resigned as Chief of Staff to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, have reaffirmed their loyalty to the former chief of staff and pledged continued support for his political leadership.

The supporters made the declaration at a meeting held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at Ijeru Baptist Day School, Caretaker Area, Ogbomoso, where they gathered to deliberate on their political future following Ogunwuyi’s resignation.

The meeting attracted several loyalists, including some individuals who had resigned their appointments at the state and local government levels following Ogunwuyi’s departure from office.

Welcoming the attendees, Engr. Dr. Damilare Amusan, a former Local Council Development Area chairman and Chairman of the Governing Council of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, expressed delight at the impressive turnout.

Also speaking, Hon. Doja Agbejinmi, a former member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) State Executive Committee, acknowledged Ogunwuyi’s contributions to his political growth and career advancement.

Agbejinmi disclosed that his appointments and opportunities, including his two-term membership of the party’s State Executive Committee and service at the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), were facilitated through Ogunwuyi’s support.
