A new chapter unfolded in the political landscape of Ogbomoso on Thursday as a prominent political group, alongside its leaders, supporters, and loyal associates, formally defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party’s zonal office in Apake, Ogbomoso.
The defectors were warmly welcomed by top APC leaders and stakeholders, including Senator Ayoade Adeseun, Rt. Hon. Gunju Ojo, Hon. Olamijuwonlo Alao-Akala, representative of Senator Fatai Buhari, Adedeji Adeyemo, Hon. Tunde Oloyede, Hon. Dayo Lawal, Alhaji Bashiru Akatapa, as well as party leaders from the five local governments in Ogbomoso Zone.
Speaking during the event, the new APC members expressed appreciation to the leadership of the ruling party for the warm reception, goodwill, and acceptance extended to them and their supporters.
According to them, the decision to join the APC was motivated by a collective desire to contribute meaningfully to the development and progress of Ogbomoso, Oyo State, and Nigeria at large.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to working diligently for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and ensuring victory for all APC candidates across Oyo State in the forthcoming elections.
The group expressed confidence that, with divine grace and the support of the people, the APC would record greater successes and stronger political victories in the state and beyond.
