A Federal Commissioner of the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), Hon. Akeem Akintayo Amosun, has reaffirmed the commitment of members of the Amosun Political Movement to ensuring the victory of all All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a stakeholders’ meeting held at his AK City residence in Kemta, Abeokuta, Amosun assured members of his political movement, popularly known as the “Kogbowokogbobi” supporters, that no effort would be spared in mobilising massive grassroots support for the APC across Ogun State.
The meeting, attended by a large number of party faithful and supporters, was convened to strategise ahead of what organisers described as a comprehensive endorsement of the governorship aspiration of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, who currently represents Ogun West Senatorial District.
Supporters at the gathering sang party songs and chanted slogans in a show of solidarity and confidence in both Amosun’s leadership and Senator Adeola’s gubernatorial ambition.
Explaining the basis for his support, Amosun said Senator Adeola’s track record in legislative representation, infrastructural development, employment creation and philanthropic interventions distinguished him as a worthy governorship contender.
According to him, the senator’s achievements across Ogun West have demonstrated his capacity to provide purposeful leadership and deliver sustainable development if elected governor in 2027.
Amosun further noted that Senator Adeola was not relying solely on his popularity but had continued to build political alliances and engage critical stakeholders across the state.
“He understands the dynamics of Ogun politics and has continued to consult widely with experienced politicians, technocrats, media professionals and other key opinion leaders. He appreciates that the governorship contest will not be a walk in the park and is therefore working tirelessly towards achieving success,” he said.
The RMAFC commissioner urged members of the movement to intensify mobilisation efforts across the state in support of the APC and Senator Adeola’s aspiration.
He also expressed appreciation to Governor Dapo Abiodun for appointing him into the Federal Commission, describing the gesture as recognition of the unwavering support and strength of the Amosun Political Movement.
Amosun expressed confidence that, if elected governor, Senator Adeola would run an inclusive administration anchored on merit, competence and people-centred governance.
He therefore called on APC members and supporters to remain united and committed to the party’s success ahead of the 2027 elections.
