As part of its 2025 charity outreach programme, the Ultimate Circle of Nigeria (UCN) — a leading socio-philanthropic organisation — has commended the selfless service and dedication of workers in handicapped homes across the country. The organisation described their efforts in caring for physically and mentally challenged individuals as “noble and worthy of national recognition.”

Speaking during the club’s visit to the Beth Torrey Home for Handicapped Persons in the Amuwo-Festac area of Lagos on Thursday, the Vice President of the Ultimate Circle of Nigeria, Mr. Hakeem Amao, who represented the President, Dr. Adedamola Dada, applauded the caregivers’ tireless commitment to the well-being of residents.
During the visit, the UCN presented a cheque of ₦500,000 alongside several material items including medications, foodstuffs, and toiletries to support the daily needs of the home.
According to Amao, “Many of you working here at Beth Torrey Home and across various charity institutions in Nigeria are indeed the apple of God’s eyes. On behalf of our great club, the Ultimate Circle of Nigeria, I sincerely commend your dedication, tolerance, patience, and perseverance in ensuring that the handicapped and challenged persons in our communities are well taken care of.”
Mr. Amao was accompanied by a past President of the club and current District 404B3 Governor of Lions Clubs International, Mr. Adelaja Adeleye, and another member, Mr. Bernard Eboreime. He assured the management and staff of the home of UCN’s continued support and encouraged them to reach out to the organisation whenever the need arises, including during emergencies.
In her response, the Administrator of Beth Torrey Home, Mrs. Temitope Udoh, expressed deep appreciation for the club’s consistent support, noting that UCN had been a dependable ally for over 15 years. She acknowledged the organisation’s numerous interventions, which have helped to alleviate the challenges faced by the home, and praised members who also render assistance on individual capacities.
Mrs. Udoh further appealed to other well-meaning Nigerians, corporate bodies, and charitable organisations to emulate the Ultimate Circle of Nigeria by contributing towards the welfare of the less privileged in society.
For over fifteen years, the Ultimate Circle of Nigeria has adopted the Beth Torrey Home for Handicapped Persons as part of its annual charity programmes, which also include donations to widows, the elderly, and other vulnerable groups across the country.
