PRESS RELEASE
The Southwest Committee on Advocacy and Strategy of the Southwest Patriots Group is pleased to welcome distinguished delegates from across the Southwest region to a pivotal Town Hall Meeting focused on shaping the future of governance in Nigeria through Constitutional Reforms.

The event is scheduled to hold on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at The Oòduà House, 14B Ezekiel Street, off Toyin Street, Ikeja, Lagos. This important gathering aims to contribute to the national discourse on the development of a new People’s Constitution for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Under the leadership of the former Commonwealth Secretary-General, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, the Patriots comprise eminent Nigerians from diverse political and professional backgrounds, united by a shared commitment to good governance. In mid-2024, the Patriots were formally received by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a gesture that signaled recognition of their mission. Since then, Zonal Committees have been established in all six geopolitical zones, including our vibrant Southwest Committee.
In preparation for a National Constitutional Summit scheduled for early June 2025 in Abuja, the Patriots have appointed former Governors Aminu Tambuwal (Sokoto State) and Gbenga Daniel (Ogun State) as Co-Chairmen of the Summit.
We look forward to hosting our invited delegates, stakeholders, and all active participants as we collectively define the Southwest’s position—resilient and unwavering since 1953—in the journey towards a reformed Nigeria.
Please accept the assurances of our highest regards.
E Signed:
Mogaji Gboyega Adejumo
