Oyo @ 50: Commissioner Olaleye OKAJUE Felicitates Governor Makinde, Hails Five Decades of Progress

The Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Olasunkanmi Olaleye (OKAJUE), has congratulated Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and the people of the state as Oyo marks its 50th anniversary of creation.

In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the historic milestone, Hon. Olaleye described Oyo @ 50 as a celebration of resilience, purposeful leadership and sustained development, noting that the golden jubilee provides an opportunity to reflect on the journey so far while recommitting to a greater future.

According to the Commissioner, the past five decades have showcased the strength, determination and progressive spirit of the people of Oyo State, who have continually demonstrated an unwavering commitment to growth and excellence across sectors.

Hon. Olaleye particularly praised Governor Seyi Makinde for his visionary leadership and people-centred governance, which he said have repositioned the state for sustainable development. He noted that under the current administration, Oyo State has recorded remarkable strides in infrastructure, agriculture, education and socio-economic development.

“I am proud to be part of an administration that is deliberately building a solid foundation for prosperity and inclusive growth. Governor Makinde’s leadership has continued to inspire confidence and hope among the people,” he stated.

The Commissioner further called on residents of the state to embrace unity and collective responsibility, stressing that the future of Oyo State depends on the shared commitment of government and citizens to progress, peace and development.
