The children of late Chief (Mrs) Olubola Egunbiyi have reaffirmed their belief that the legacy of a devoted parent lives on through the impact of their children, as they on Saturday extended humanitarian support to students of the School for the Blind Centre, Ogbomoso.
The outreach, carried out under the Oyinboade Foundation, was organised in memory of their late mother and matriach, one year after her transition. The foundation donated food items worth thousands of naira to the school as a gesture of compassion and thanksgiving to God for the unity, protection and continued prosperity of the family.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr. Abayomi Adebayo Egunbiyi, the eldest son, described the initiative as the maiden humanitarian project of the foundation, established to immortalise the virtues of their late mother. He portrayed Chief Olubola Egunbiyi as “a mother in millions”—a caring, compassionate teacher who dedicated her life to the welfare and nurturing of children.
Mr. Egunbiyi explained that the foundation’s broader mission is to provide sustainable support to the less privileged across society, stressing the family’s readiness to offer steady and continuous assistance to deserving institutions and vulnerable families. According to him, this commitment reflects the late matriarch’s enduring values of love, compassion, care and service to humanity.
Items distributed to the students included rice and beans, tubers of yam, spaghetti, vegetable oil, tea and garri. The management and students of the centre expressed gratitude to the Egunbiyi family for the timely intervention, describing the gesture as a meaningful tribute that brings comfort and hope to the visually impaired community.
