Ogbomosoland will on Friday, December 19, 2025, witness a significant traditional and civic milestone with the official and public installation of Sir Olusegun Adeyemi Adekunle, Esq., OON, as the Asipa of Ogbomosoland. The installation ceremony will be performed by the Soun of Ogbomoso, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, Orumogege III, in accordance with age-long customs and traditions of the ancient town.

Sir Olusegun Adekunle is a distinguished lawyer, administrator, manager and development planner with an illustrious record of public service spanning over three decades. Born with a strong foundation in education and discipline, Sir Adekunle had his primary education at Baptist School, Kigo Road, Kaduna, and St. Barnabas Primary School, Sabo Oke, Ilorin.
