The Ogbomoso Capital City Group (OCCG), a coalition of community leaders, social clubs, and distinguished indigenes of Ogbomoso, both at home and in the diaspora, has intensified its advocacy for the creation of New Oyo State, with Ogbomoso as its capital.
The group is spearheading efforts to ensure the division of the present Oyo State into Ibadan State and New Oyo State, as part of the ongoing state creation exercise being considered by the Federal Government.
