Hon. Olufemi Onireti has extended warm congratulations and fervent prayers to Muslims and Christians in Nigeria, Oyo State and all over the world on the commencement of the sacred periods of Ramadan and Lent, describing the seasons as divinely ordained opportunities for spiritual renewal, self-discipline, and moral rebirth.
In a goodwill message released on behalf of the lawmaker, Hon. Onireti noted that Ramadan and Lent represent profound moments of fasting, prayer, reflection, and repentance, urging adherents of both faiths to draw closer to their Creator and recommit themselves to lives of righteousness.

He called on the faithful to consciously turn away from iniquity, immoral conduct, and excessive attachment to mundane lifestyles, stressing that the periods demand sincere efforts to abandon actions and attitudes that are displeasing to God. According to him, the seasons should inspire humility, obedience, compassion, forgiveness, and genuine love for one another.
Hon. Onireti further encouraged Muslims and Christians to use the fasting period to strengthen communal harmony, show kindness to the less privileged, promote peace, and uphold moral values that foster unity and progress in society.
He offered prayers for divine strength, sound health, and spiritual fortitude for all observers, asking God to grant them the grace to withstand temptation and complete the fasting periods successfully without any hindrance.
“May the Almighty accept your fasting, prayers, and good deeds, and may His mercy abound in your homes and communities,” the statement read. “As you journey through these sacred seasons, may your supplications receive divine answers, and may the lessons learned endure beyond the fasting days.”
Hon. Olufemi Onireti concluded by wishing all faithful a peaceful, rewarding, and spiritually fulfilling Ramadan and Lenten season.
