Former Oyo Chief Judge and Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo President, Justice Afolabi Adeniran, Dies at 87

Retired Justice Afolabi Adeniran, former Chief Judge of Oyo State and until his death the Worldwide President of Egbe Omo Ogbomoso Parapo Agbaaye, has passed away.

According to a press release issued by the Public Relations Officer of the socio-cultural organisation, Comrade T.M. Balogun, Justice Adeniran died on Sunday after a brief illness.

The late legal luminary, who would have turned 88 in August, succeeded the late Mogaji Adisa Adeleye as president of the organisation nearly a decade ago.

Comrade Balogun confirmed that the remains of the late jurist have been deposited at a morgue in Ibadan.

His Iyaganku residence in Ibadan has continued to receive a steady stream of sympathizers following the announcement of his death.

The family is expected to release details of the burial arrangements in due course.

Justice Adeniran is survived by wives, children, and grandchildren.
