The Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, has announced that its 2024/2025 matriculation ceremony will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
According to a statement issued by the institution’s Protocols and Public Relations Officer, Mr. Sunday Adepoju, on behalf of the Rector, Engr. Dr. Taofeek Adekunle Abdul-Hameed, the ceremony will be held at the institution’s temporary site in Iresa-Pupa, Surulere Local Government Area, Oyo State. The event will commence with a procession at 9:00 a.m., followed by the formal ceremony at 10:00 a.m.
Federal Polytechnic Ayede, established in 2021 alongside five other institutions during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, admitted its pioneer students in the 2022/2023 academic session. Initially, the institution offered four National Diploma (ND) programs in Science Laboratory Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, Computer Science, and Statistics.
In 2023, the polytechnic expanded its academic offerings, introducing eight additional ND programs, bringing the total to 12. The new programs include Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology, Agricultural Technology, Tourism Management Technology, Estate Management and Valuation, Urban and Regional Planning, Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, and Public Administration. These programs are housed across five schools: Agricultural Technology, Science and Technology, Engineering Technology, Environmental Technology, and Management Sciences.
The statement further highlighted that the freshers’ orientation program began on Tuesday, March 25, and will continue on Wednesday, March 26, at the Iresa-Pupa campus. Distinguished scholars and professionals are expected to address the newly admitted students.
Since its establishment, the institution has made significant strides in academic excellence, infrastructure development, staff training, and extracurricular activities, further solidifying its reputation as a center of learning and innovation.
