The Career Service Centre of Federal Polytechnic Ayede, Oyo State, in partnership with Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), has announced a day career training aimed at enhancing career placement opportunities for its students.

This is contained in a statement issued by the school media office and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Ibadan.
The statement noted that the training, scheduled to hold on Thursday at the school TETFund Auditorium, aims at bringing students out of the enclaves of theory to rub minds with human resources teams from notable establishments and to tap into available opportunities.
According to the statement, the target participants of the training are ND 2 students across all Departments in the Polytechnic.
It further stated that the training, themed “Navigating the Modern Workplace: Trends and Insights,” aimed to continue to build on the school’s ‘Town-and-Gown’ policies to bring more students closer to industry experts for discovering the right career path.
The centre noted that the training became imperative as many students lacked clarity on what career path to take even after graduation.
“The Career Service Centre of the school, in its bid at ensuring successful career placement for the students, has selected a team of human resources managers and industry experts for interaction with students to enhance their employability.
“The participants are encouraged to take good advantage of the training to create a better future for themselves.
“It is also important that the students know how to choose good career mentors, work on their weaknesses, and go for the career that they have a passion for.
“Through career counseling services, partnership, and various skill development initiatives, the career services centre of the Federal Polytechnic, Ayede is working to bridge the gap between academia and the professional world to ensure that students are well-prepared to meet the demands of the workforce,” the statement noted.
