In fulfillment of his promise to donate his salary back to the community, Engr. Muftau Open Salawu, Executive Assistant to Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, FNSE, has announced a fresh round of financial assistance worth ₦5 million.
Salawu, who made the commitment upon his appointment, said the gesture was aimed at supporting those in need and easing financial pressures on families.
Last year, he empowered five beneficiaries — Ajani Abosede, Moses Oyetunji, Hassana Jimoh, Hammed Musbau, and Azeez Idiayat — with ₦1 million each to grow their businesses, a total of ₦5 million.
For this year’s intervention, 100 parents will each receive ₦50,000 to cushion back-to-school expenses for their children.
“I have learned that giving is essential,” Salawu stated. “I strive to do so not for validation, but in gratitude for the blessings I have received.”
