The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced plans to conduct a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for applicants shortlisted in its ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise.
In a public notice dated October 21, 2025, and signed by the Secretary to the Board, Major General (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril, the CDCFIB expressed appreciation to members of the public for their patience and cooperation throughout the recruitment process.

According to the statement, the CBT will soon be held across the thirty-six (36) states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. The test represents a major phase in the recruitment exercise for candidates who applied to any of the four services under the Board—Civil Defence, Correctional Service, Fire Service, and Immigration Service.
Applicants have been advised to visit the official recruitment portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, next week to check their application status and confirm if they have been shortlisted for the CBT. The portal will also contain details about designated test centres and the specific dates for the examination.
Major General Jibril further warned applicants to beware of fraudulent individuals and fake websites impersonating the Board. He stressed that the only authentic portal for recruitment updates remains the one provided in the public notice.
“All applicants are advised to note the Board’s official portal address highlighted above to avoid falling victim to scams,” the statement read in part.
The CDCFIB, headquartered at the Old Federal Secretariat, Area 1, Garki, Abuja, is responsible for overseeing recruitment and administrative activities for the four major paramilitary agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior.
