The Executive Director of Greenworld International, Dr. Joseph Opaleye, has passionately urged Nigerians—especially the people of Ogbomoso and its environs—to prioritize their health. He emphasized that only those in sound and stable health can truly achieve their life aspirations.
Quoting a popular saying, he remarked, “If money is lost, nothing is lost; if health is lost, everything is lost.” Dr. Opaleye made this statement at his Agboin office, opposite the Anglican Cathedral Church in Ogbomoso, during a short lecture for his workers and clients titled “Hypertension: A Silent Killer.”
Expressing concern over the general neglect of health, he lamented that many people work tirelessly but fail to monitor their well-being. “It’s unfortunate that after a long day’s work, people focus on making money and indulging in pleasures without considering their health. This negligence often leads to hypertension,” he stated.
Dr. Opaleye stressed the importance of a balanced lifestyle, acknowledging that enjoying good food and drinks in moderation is fine but should not come at the cost of neglecting one’s health. Comparing hypertension to a thief that strikes silently at night, he advised regular medical checkups, exercise, adequate sleep, and stress management as key preventive measures.
He further highlighted that Greenworld offices worldwide are equipped with advanced health monitoring tools and natural remedies free of chemicals to help manage various ailments.
In his closing remarks, he advised people to be mindful of their diet and lifestyle choices, as these significantly impact overall health. He also urged Nigerians to avoid excessive worry despite the country’s current economic challenges, reassuring them that “hard times don’t last forever—better days are inevitable.”
