The House of Representatives candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Dr. Kunle Samson Adegbite (TWINDAD), has dismissed as false and malicious reports alleging that he, his campaign organisation and supporters are secretly working for another political candidate ahead of the forthcoming general election.

In a statement issued on Sunday, Dr. Adegbite described the allegations as unfounded, misleading and the handiwork of political detractors determined to sow seeds of discord within the NDC and mislead members of the public.
He maintained that his loyalty to the National Democratic Congress remains absolute and unshaken, stressing that neither he nor anyone associated with his campaign has entered into any alliance or understanding with any candidate outside the party.
According to him, the rumour is a calculated attempt to create confusion among party faithful, weaken the morale of his supporters and divert attention from the issues that truly matter to the people of Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency.
“I wish to state categorically and without any reservation that these claims are entirely false, baseless and deliberately fabricated. At no time have I or my campaign organisation worked for or supported any other candidate. My commitment to the National Democratic Congress is total, and I remain proud to fly the party’s flag with honour, integrity and unwavering dedication,” he stated.
Dr. Adegbite said his campaign remains focused on presenting practical solutions to the developmental challenges confronting the constituency through issue-based campaigns, continuous grassroots mobilisation and meaningful engagement with residents across the federal constituency.
He noted that rather than being distracted by political propaganda, his campaign would continue to promote constructive dialogue, inclusive leadership and people-oriented programmes capable of improving the welfare of constituents.
The NDC candidate lamented what he described as the growing culture of misinformation in the nation’s political space, saying democracy thrives on healthy competition, truth and respect for the electorate, not falsehood, character assassination or the deliberate spread of fake news.
He urged those behind the rumour to embrace decency and allow the electorate to make informed decisions based on the quality of candidates, their track records and their vision for the future.
Highlighting his record of public service, Dr. Adegbite said his passion for humanitarian service and community development has remained evident over the years through numerous interventions aimed at improving the lives of ordinary people.
He listed youth empowerment initiatives, educational support programmes, healthcare outreach, assistance to widows and vulnerable groups, scholarships, community development projects and other humanitarian activities as part of his enduring commitment to the people.
According to him, these accomplishments reflect the values upon which the TWINDAD movement was founded and remain the driving force behind his aspiration to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.
He appealed to members of the National Democratic Congress, the TWINDAD Family, campaign coordinators, volunteers, supporters and the general public to disregard the rumours and remain focused on the collective mission of delivering victory for the party at the polls.
Dr. Adegbite further called on residents of the constituency to remain united and refuse to be divided by what he described as desperate political antics designed to derail the growing momentum of his campaign.
He reiterated his commitment to providing transparent, accountable and effective representation that would attract sustainable development, create opportunities for young people, empower women, improve access to quality education and healthcare, and facilitate greater economic prosperity across Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency.
Expressing gratitude to the people for their unwavering support, encouragement and prayers, the NDC standard-bearer assured them that their confidence in his leadership would not be taken for granted.
He pledged to remain accessible, compassionate and committed to advancing the collective aspirations of the constituency while urging everyone to continue supporting the NDC’s vision of responsible leadership and inclusive development.
Dr. Adegbite expressed optimism that with unity, truth, determination and the support of the electorate, the National Democratic Congress would record a resounding victory, assuring constituents that better days lie ahead for Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South and Oriire Federal Constituency, Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
