The Director of the City Boy Movement, Hon. Olufemi Onireti, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable Nigerians with the distribution of mobility aids to persons with disabilities in Igboora, Oyo State.

The humanitarian outreach, held in Igboora, witnessed the presentation of 116 wheelchairs, 10 walking frames, 20 walking sticks, and five crutches to physically challenged beneficiaries drawn from the community and neighbouring areas.

Speaking during the event, Onireti said the initiative was designed to restore hope, dignity, and independence to persons living with disabilities, stressing that physical challenges should never define an individual’s future or limit their aspirations.

He urged the beneficiaries to remain grateful to God and continue to pursue their dreams despite their circumstances.

“I want you to remain grateful to God despite your present circumstances. Disability does not determine your destiny. Keep believing in yourselves, remain hopeful, and continue to pursue your dreams. This intervention is only the beginning, and I assure you that more benefits will come to our people,” he said.

Onireti described the City Boy Movement as a prominent youth-driven civic advocacy and grassroots political organisation committed to promoting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to him, the movement seeks to bridge the gap between government and grassroots communities through political mobilisation, economic empowerment, and civic education.

He noted that the organisation would continue to champion humanitarian programmes aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable groups, adding that supporting the less privileged remains one of its core objectives.

“Our commitment is to continue touching lives and supporting those in need. We will not relent in bringing more opportunities and interventions that will positively impact our communities,” he added.

The event was attended by top executives of the City Boy Movement and the All Progressives Congress (APC), who commended Onireti for his selfless service and dedication to humanitarian causes.

The outreach received support from the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, Jos.

Beneficiaries, many of whom received mobility aids for the first time, expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Olufemi Onireti, the City Boy Movement, and the Beautiful Gate Handicapped People Centre, describing the intervention as life-changing and a significant boost to their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.
