The Onísápá of Isapa in Ogbomoso South Local Government, His Royal Majesty, Oba Bólárìnwá Ezekiel Olajide, Olajide 1, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across Oyo State and Nigeria on the celebration of the Easter festival, calling for unity, love, peaceful coexistence, and intercession for the nation.

Delivering his Easter message at his palace on Saturday afternoon, the traditional ruler urged Christians to live according to the teachings of Jesus Christ, who died for the atonement of humanity’s sins.
Kabiyesi emphasized that the death of Jesus Christ must not be in vain, stressing that it carries a fundamental lesson of forgiveness—one that transcends religious boundaries. He encouraged Christians to forgive those who have wronged them regardless of their faith.
Oba Onísápá also appealed to all followers of Christ to use the Easter celebration, which symbolizes the death and resurrection of Jesus, as an opportunity to pray for peace and divine guidance for the country and its leaders.
“I felicitate with Christian faithful across Oyo State and Nigeria on witnessing this year’s Easter celebrations,” he said.
“In Christ’s death and resurrection, we find profound lessons of love, sacrifice, and hope for humanity. This period also teaches us the power of prayers and the grace to forgive.”
The monarch further charged Christians to internalize and reflect on the core values of the Easter celebration in their daily lives.
“I urge my Christian brethren to use this season to intercede for our country and its leaders at all levels,” he added. “May the blessings of God be with us all through this season and always.”
