In his welcome address, Hon. Segun Dokun Odebunmi, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ogun/Osun River Basin Development Authority, described Ogbomoso as a traditional stronghold of the APC and assured party members of total mobilisation in the zone.
“Ogbomoso will deliver massively for the APC. Our people are fully behind President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the Oyo State APC Chairman, Alhaji Olayide Abass, praised the loyalty and resilience of party members in Ogbomoso, describing their commitment as vital to the party’s resolve to return to power in the state. He urged members to sustain unity and intensify grassroots organisation ahead of future elections.
Delivering the keynote address, Senator Teslim Folarin charged party members to take the message of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda to every community in the state.
“Our mission is clear: to show that APC in Oyo State is fully prepared to key into the Renewed Hope Agenda. The unity and love we see today will be sustained, and at the right time, we will move to every nook and cranny of the state. By 2027, victory will be total for the APC,” Folarin declared.
Also speaking, Mrs Florence Ajimobi called on party members to embrace peace and unity, describing the APC as the most formidable political party in Oyo State. She assured supporters that the prevailing harmony within the party would be sustained to ensure the re-election of President Tinubu and the APC’s return to the Agodi Government House in 2027.
Former Oyo State APC Chairman, Chief Akin Oke, urged leaders in Ogbomoso to work together as a united front, noting that the party had spent long enough in opposition.
“Eight years in opposition is enough. We must work as a team to return APC to government in Oyo State,” he said.
Senator Ayoade Adeseun, in his remarks, expressed confidence that Ogbomoso would record overwhelming votes for the APC in the 2027 elections.
The rally climaxed with the formal endorsement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term and the reception of hundreds of defectors from other political parties into the APC. The defectors came from Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Ogo-Oluwa and Surulere local government areas.
The event ended with renewed calls for unity, sustained mobilisation and strategic grassroots engagement as the APC positions itself to reclaim power in Oyo State in the 2027 general elections.
